COMING 2025
The Duke Festival Surfing competition hosts a national surfing crowd from under 12's to over 70's.
It is an inclusive event which means anyone can enter, even if you do not belong to a Boardriders club. This allows for any surfers new to competition surfing to give it a go.
We gain over 200 entries for this competition and it is the only competition which can host up to 4 generations of a single whānau!
Please Note: The SISA South Island Grom Series hold one of their events during the competition to support their South Island surfers (U14 - U18 only)

DUKE FESTIVAL SKATE COMP
COMING IN 2025
This is a skate comp located in the amphitheatre at New Brighton Pier. It is a free event for spectators and the competition is open invite to all people.
The competition was inspired after watching all of the groms skate together around the pier between heats. It began in 2020. It was a huge success and generated a massive crowd with live music performed by local youth bands. Big thanks to Damian from 44 Ramps for organising this years Skate event!!
SALTY SESSIONS
COMING IN 2025
Salty Sessions is a live music gig which began as a way to support local music, artists and business.
This has been going since the inception of this event and has hosted the likes of Tiki Tāne.

Stoked is an art Exhibition which showcases Artworks from local artists. This is a free event to the competitors and general public and offers the opportunity to purchase art from a collection of curated surf artists.
Stoked is a mobile Event - check updates on social media for the location each year!
